Volkswagen Financial Services AG to set up reinsurance company. Strategic partnership with Allianz Versicherungs-AG signed

Volkswagen Financial Services AG (VWFSAG) and Allianz Versicherungs-AG have signed a contract within the setting of this year's International Motor Show (IAA) that further deepens the successful and longstanding collaboration the two partners have enjoyed in the field of motor vehicle insurance. To this end, VWFSAG will be founding a reinsurance company. Allianz Versicherungs-AG remains the primary insurer.

Jörg Wälder leaves Volkswagen- Versicherungsdienst GmbH

Jörg Wälder, Managing Director of Volkswagen-Versicherungsdienst GmbH and General Manager of Volkswagen Financial Services AG as well as Volkswagen Bank GmbH, Braunschweig, will be leaving the company on June 30th to become a full member of the management board of ZÜRICH Gruppe Deutschland effective from July 1st.

Volkswagen Financial Services AG continued its growth course in 2004

Once again, Volkswagen Financial Services AG reports positive results for the financial year 2004 in all fields of business. The balance-sheet total of the Braunschweig-based company, which is responsible for the financial services offered by the Volkswagen Group in Europe and in the Asia-Pacific region, increased by 27.0 percent over the previous year to 41.3 billion euros. The pre-tax profits rose by 0.4 percent to 567 million euros. "2004 was a successful business year", concluded the Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Financial Services AG, Burkhard Breiing, at the company's balance-sheet press conference in Frankfurt.

Volkswagen Financial Services AG takes over 100 percent of the Volkswagen Versicherungsvermittlungs-GmbH company shares

Effective from January 1st 2005, Volkswagen Financial Services AG has taken over 100 percent of the company shares of Volkswagen Versicherungsvermittlungs-GmbH (VWV) from Volkswagen AG. Following the transfer of VWV private customer business to the Volkswagen financial service providers, which had already taken place on January 1st 2004, all the company stock held by Volkswagen AG in the business division of industrial insurance brokerage has now been transferred to Volkswagen Financial Services AG.
